I'm always looking for nutritious and yummy new salad ideas! Thank for the challenge! Refrigerator not quite empty.
Love all the food variations in the book. Thank you!
I enjoyed this last smoothie and did make some changes in the previous smoothies too. I am pre diabetic and have high cholesterol so I’m trying to avoid the super sugary fruits like bananas and in this last smoothie recipe you said to swap it with frozen cauliflower, what a great idea!!!! You are right, the taste of it is pretty inexistent.. loved this idea!!!
I do smoothies daily and using ginger and turmeric in every single smoothie (love ginger) unfortunately at times the taste of ginger is prevalent to everything I use.
I loved this challenge because I learned how to mix, swap ingredients as my liking and healthier to my needs.
I read someone said it would be nice to have the challenge for be 2 weeks and I completely agree!!
Thank you for helping me make my smoothies healthier and interesting.
Love that it has all the Seasons in one book. Great new recipes too.
I joined the cleanse because I have a history of ovarian cancer and had another abdominal surgery to remove another mass and wanted to get back on track with my plant based lifestyle I've been living since being diagnosed. Thought it would be nice to get back into it with a group. Since my recent surgery I didn't have a chance to actually do the cleanse. I was really excited at the prospect of having the materials I need once I fully heal. This was the first cleanse I have ever been invited via email to do and I like your website and materials.
I wasn't able to do it on schedule due to external factors. I'm planning to do it on my own in a few weeks to improve my energy and wellbeing. I’ve already noticed more awareness even from just thinking about the cleanse.
The cleanse was seamless. The recipes are sooooo delicious they will all become part of my meal planning. I will also order 2 of Jen’s books 👍. Weekly prep was very helpful and I was never hungry. The only meals where I couldn’t eat the proper portions were the morning snacks. So next time I’ll cut the recipes in half. I joined to better my health / fight inflammation (I have lichen sclerosis …. fairly new diagnosis) / I’ve used many of Jen’s recipes before and knew they would be yummy which they are! I feel more balanced and have less food cravings.
I wanted to eat more plant based and this decision comes along with this cleanse. And I found it perfect to do it with a community. This cleanse structure was new to me but I enjoyed it. It gave me an inside how prep your meals can help you through the week. The recipes were delicious, so tasty. The weekly calls were so much fun and I enjoyed to connect life with the participants. I was not hungry and loved all the snacks :) In the beginning I had light detox symptoms and day after day I felt better: my belly was flat, quality of sleep so much better and my body doesn't felt stressed anymore.
I did this cleanse because I really needed a reset. I needed to change my way of eating, and to experience what it felt like to eat clean. I enjoyed everything about this cleanse. The meals were amazing, the soups and sauces, oh the sauces! Woke up feeling light with more energy. There was no morning back pain. I was never hungry. It was just amazing. So far, I lost some inches from my waist, stomach feels less bloated. Believe I have lost a few pounds. Did not go on the scale because I plan to continue the cleanse for two more weeks.
I joined to get back to healthier eating, feel more energetic and drop a couple pounds. It was fun trying some new items in my Vitamix. Made almond butter for the first time and I don't think I'll be buying it anymore. I also liked the cashew cream and all the variations you can make with it. Many of the recipes will become regulars. The savory nuts were a favorite snack. I felt good on the cleanse. I wasn't hungry and felt in control of my eating. Your recipes are delicious. I enjoyed trying some new flavors. The only challenge was all the prep but I know there's always more prep involved when you eat whole nutritious food. The prep ahead was helpful but my schedule didn't allow me to completely prep ahead so I had more work to do during the week. It was definitely worth it.
I joined because I was tired of being exhausted and having no energy. Also tired of my stomach bloating every time I ate something. The pre cleanse week was wonderful. Tried some new recipes and lost 5 lbs. Got back to smoothies and healthier meals. Love how I can make them all over and over again. They’re just so good.
The cleanse was great. Recipes were a good change from steamed veggies. I wasn’t hungry and I have better digestion.
I feel so much better and all the bloating I had before the cleanse is gone! I have used my new Vitamix blender every single day during this cleanse, it’s been great!!
I wanted to learn how to prepare more fulfilling plant-based meals and work on some ways to lower my blood pressure and A1c levels without prescription medication. I started in week 2 of the cleanse but in those two weeks I did see that I was down 6 lbs, although weight loss wasn't a main goal. I also noticed that I did have less sleepless nights. Finally, I know I won't go full plant based, we eat a lot of fish, but now I have some really good veggie recipes to add to this dishes. Going through the cleanse I felt fine, maybe a little sluggish the first couple of days but that tapered off. I thought the recipes and plan structure was great. The weekly prep was definitely helpful. I didn't feel hungry, I often felt full before I finished the plan for the day. I loved the group check-ins and coaching calls. Those helped me hear in real time how others were impacted, plus it kept me accountable to stay on track so that I would have something to contribute to the discussions.
I joined to gain control over the poor, reckless eating habits I had recently picked up after suffering a personal loss six months ago. The recipes were absolutely delicious and I repeatedly looked forward to each meal. I even ate some things I've never card for but found that I did given the various seasonings incorporated. I can honestly say I never felt hungry or as if I were really missing anything. The snacks were definitely helpful in satisfying me throughout the day. The prep made the week that followed easier to stick to as I didn't have to think twice about what I was having for each meal. Had I not had and done a lot of that, I probably would have talked myself into grabbing something on the go reasoning that it would be simpler and quicker. The information and support from the group check-ins and recorded coaching calls were invaluable. I learned a lot of different ways to make really tasteful meals from what I have in my fridge in less time than it would take me to order and pickup takeout which really surprised me. I began paying more attention to how my body felt. I have arthritis in a few places but one in particular, the base of one of my thumbs, definitely showed improvement during the cleanse. I noticed when I eat "right" that same area isn't as painful or visibly swollen, reason enough to continue to incorporate what I've learned into my daily meals!
